Highs and Lows: January 2016's Best and Worst Movie!

January 2016 is already over?! It feels like only yesterday we were crackin' the bubbly and celebrating the beginning of a new year! Are you excited for the Oscars at the end of February?! We know we are!!

We are here to share with you our picks for the best and worst theater movie from January 2016! This helps us recap what we really liked and what we absolutely hated every month, and it will also let you know what film is worth spending your money on and what you should avoid entirely.

Here are our picks for January!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*January 2016's Best Release*"Kung Fu Panda 3" - Unlike 2015, there was no dominantly great films put out this January. Most of the movies were sub-par or worse, the exception being "Kung Fu Panda 3." Fun, silly, touching, and voiced extremely well by a high caliber of actors, we thoroughly enjoyed the third installment in what has become a progressively better trilogy of animated films. Great for kids and adults alike!  Our rating: 7.5/10.
*January 2016's Worst Release*: "Dirty Grandpa" - It's hard to see how anything else over the course of the entire year that hasn't even happened yet could be as bad as or worse than "Dirty Grandpa." We're still angry about how bad it was. We are ashamed and embarrassed as human beings to admit we watched this film in its entirety. We should have listened to our better judgment and just walked out of the theater when this movie thought it would be a "funny joke" to simulate a sexual act with a child. We should have left the theater when we watched Robert De Niro stick his penis in front of his sleeping grandson's face for a lark. We should have trusted our instincts after the 7082362485847th time Robert De Niro was instructed to jam his thumb up Zac Efron's butt. De Niro's career is hanging on by a very thin thread. We are beyond offended and upset at "Dirty Grandpa," not only because of its absolutely tasteless jokes that only a sociopath would find funny, but because of its very existence.  Our rating: 0/10.
