"Zootopia" becomes king at the box office
Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your
weekend box office results!
"Zootopia," Disney's latest triumph, made a heck of a lot of dough this weekend. It pulled in a hefty $73,300,000. It currently sits at 98% on the TomatoMeter, and we highly suggest you see it no matter what age you are. It's a tremendous film! There won't be another huge money maker like this until the end of the month when "Batman v. Superman" finally comes out, so expect this animated action adventure to warm your hearts and pockets for the rest of the month. Coming in second place this weekend was newcomer
"London Has Fallen" as the first of two entries featuring Gerard Butler, which made $21,714,000. In third was
"Deadpool," which made $16,400,000, bringing its domestic total gross to an impressive $311,158,132. In fourth this weekend was another newcomer in Tina Fey's
"Whiskey Tango Foxtrot," which made $7,600,000. Finally, rounding out the top 5 this weekend was
"Gods of Egypt," which made $5,000,000, which puts it on pace to be the first official box office bomb of 2016.
