Turtle Power beats Mutant Mania this weekend; "Me Before You" exceeds expectations

Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your weekend box office results!
The boys are back in town! "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" claimed the top spot at the box office this weekend, only giving the new "X-Men" one week of glory. It pulled in $35,250,000, which is a little over half of what the original made just 2 years ago. The Mutants and their clan in "X-Men Apocalypse" came in second place in its second week out, pulling in another $22,325,000 to add to its $116.4 million dollar domestic total gross. In third this weekend is the second of the week's newcomers in the book-to-movie adaptation of Jojo Moyes' novel "Me Before You," which pulled in $18,270,000, which is pretty impressive and better than expected. The fourth movie this weekend was "Alice Through the Looking Glass," which has not been able to stave off negative reviews and poor fan reception. It added $10,691,000 to its weak $50.7 million domestic total gross. "The Angry Birds Movie" rounded out the top five this weekend by making another $9,775,000 to its $86.6 million domestic total gross. Onward, soldiers!
