"Jason Bourne" runs straight to the top; "Bad Moms" surprises

Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your weekend box office results!

Apparently, all the Bourne series needed to be great again was Matt Damon. "Jason Bourne" rocketed to the #1 spot on the box office charts this weekend with an impressive $60,000,000 opening. "Star Trek Beyond" fell to second place by making $24 million for a domestic 2-week total of $105.7 million. Newcomer comedy "Bad Moms" shattered expectations by making $23.4 million in its opening weekend. "The Secret Life of Pets" fell to #4 with a domestic weekend total of $18.2 million, now bringing its domestic gross to a whopping $296.1 million. Yowza! Finally, horror film "Lights Out," which IS getting a sequel, rounded out the top 5 by making $10,810,000. It sits at a domestic total of $42.8 million.

Next weekend sees the released of the highly anticipated "Suicide Squad," as well as "Nine Lives," which no one is excited about at all. Check back for the latest in movie reviews!
