Did It Win?: No.

When Regan MacNeil (Linda Blair) begins acting strangely, her mother Chris (Ellen Burstyn) takes her to a number of doctors and psychiatrists to figure out the problem. After all the medical treatments fail, doctors recommend that she see a priest for an exorcism. Regan appears to be possessed by an entity that claims to be the devil himself. The exorcism is performed by Father Merrin (Max von Sydow), and it may be one of the hardest exorcisms he and his colleague have ever performed.

First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! What better way to close out our Halloween Horror Movie Marathon with arguably one of the best classic horror films of all times?

This movie is all kinds of twisted. The performance that Linda Blair gives as Regan is awesome. The makeup work, from the subtly of the words "help me" written on Regan's stomach, to the full-blown makeup work that her possessed self has is still great even by today's standards. Besides the harsh language, this movie contains very graphic scenes (projectile vomiting of a pea soup-like substance) again, even by today's standards. One for the books, and one not to be missed every Halloween!

My Rating: 9/10

Do we recommend this movie: ABSOLUTELY YES!!!
