"Furious 7" still holds first place, passes $1 billion globally; Paul Blart segways into second

Remaining at #1 for the 3rd week in a row, "Furious 7" takes home another estimated $29,056,000 domestically over the weekend. Earlier in the week, it surpassed the $1 billion worldwide box office mark in just 17 days. WOW! It has now brought in a total of $1,152,710,000 globally. As of today, it has the 7th biggest global box office in film history. "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" debuts at #2, bringing in $24,000,000 in its opening weekend. This total is down from the first "Paul Blart" film's opening weekend total from 2009, which was $30 million. The film remains at a 0% on aggregate review site Rotten Tomatoes. The unique found footage horror film "Unfriended" opens in 3rd, bringing in $16,023,000. The family film "Home" is still hanging strong, coming in at number #4, and the romantic drama "The Longest Ride" drops quite a bit and quickly to the #5 spot. The only other debut movie to make the top 10 this week was the DisneyNature documentary "Monkey Kingdom," which came in at #7.
