Weekend Box Office Results: June 12th, 2015 - June 14th, 2015

"Jurassic World" gobbles up the competition, smashes box office records

"Jurassic World" opened big this weekend, showing that there is plenty of life left in this franchise by pulling in a whopping $204,596,380, making it the second biggest opening weekend of all time just behind the first Avengers film in 2012.  "Spy" came in at a distant second place, pulling in another $16,000,000, bringing its domestic total to $56,937,244. The disaster flick "San Andreas" drops to the #3 spot, but adds another $11,010,000 to its total, bringing it to a domestic gross of  $119,320,914 to date. The horror prequel "Insidious: Chapter 3" grabbed the #4 spot and the musical comedy sequel "Pitch Perfect 2" closed out the top 5.
