"Jurassic World" gobbles up the competition, smashes box office records
"Jurassic World" opened big this weekend, showing that there is plenty of life left in this franchise by pulling in a whopping $204,596,380, making it the second biggest opening weekend of all time just behind the first Avengers film in 2012.
"Spy" came in at a distant second place, pulling in another $16,000,000, bringing its domestic total to $56,937,244. The disaster flick
"San Andreas" drops to the #3 spot, but adds another $11,010,000 to its total, bringing it to a domestic gross of $119,320,914 to date. The horror prequel
"Insidious: Chapter 3" grabbed the #4 spot and the musical comedy sequel
"Pitch Perfect 2" closed out the top 5.
