Highs and Lows: July 2015's Best and Worst Movie!

July, you were both great and terrible to us.

We are here to share with you our picks for the best and worst theater movie from July 2015! This helps us recap what we really liked and what we absolutely hated every month, and it will also let you know what film is worth spending your money on and what you should avoid entirely.

Here are our picks for July!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*July 2015's Best Release"Amy" - Amy Winehouse's life was cut tragically short after her constant struggle with eating disorders, drugs, and alcohol. We truly believe she was one of the best voices of our generation. She had such a wonderful soul. It was interesting to watch this film unfold, showing how Amy grew up and how her love and obsession with music began, but also, where her career took her in such a short time. If you were a fan of hers, even casually, please check out this documentary. It is extremely well done, very informative, and well paced, too.   Our rating: 9/10.
*July 2015's Worst Release"The Gallows" - This movie, if it can be called a movie, is complete and utter crap. "The Gallows" is ridiculous at best, plus, there is no reason in the entire world it should have been rated R. We are at our wits end with found footage films, and this one has shots of feet, running, quick cut-aways, and all the tricks of this miserable genre's trade in droves. On top of all of this, it is not scary in the slightest. We didn't get scared once, and the jump-scares were predictable down to the literal second, full of clamoring noises with no purpose. Awful characters, dismal situation, horrid writing, this movie is the worst movie of the year.   Our rating: 1/10.
