"Spectre" maintains top spot; "Love the Coopers" is awful, but claims #3 spot
Despite some critical reviews by audience goers and film critics,
"Spectre" had a relatively good second week at the box offices, making $35,400,000, bringing its 2 week total to an impressive $130.7 million. Mirroring last week's second spot,
"The Peanuts Movie" stayed put, too, at #2, pulling in another $24,200,000, bringing its 2 week total to $82.5 million. Coming in at the third spot is newcomer
"Love the Coopers," the awful and disingenuous Christmas dramedy, which made $8,400,000.
"The Martian" which claimed the #4 spot, is almost out of the top 5 after a staggering October month in cinemas. This weekend, it made $6,725,000, bringing its total domestic gross to a whopping $207,407,616. Rounding out the top 5 this weekend was another newcomer in "The 33," the true life drama about the 2010 trapped Chilean miners saga, which brought in $5,845,000. Next week is sure to see "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" at the #1 spot, but how much will it make? Only time will tell.
