Could this be the end of Daniel Craig's James Bond career? We're not sure, but at least he'll go out with somewhat of a bang if it was his last movie as 007. Despite early projections that
"Spectre" was on pace to beat out "Skyfall," with mixed critics review and some poor audience reactions to "Spectre's" more traditional Bond style, it fell about $15 million short of its predecessor, finishing the weekend with an estimated $73,000,000.
"The Peanuts Movie," beloved by critics and audiences alike, came in second place this weekend with an estimated $45,000,000. Not bad, Charlie Brown! Finally being dethroned was October's only powerhouse film in
"The Martian," which made an estimated $9,300,000 this weekend, finishing in 3rd place. In a hard fought battle for 4th place this weekend,
"Goosebumps," kept up the pace with
"Bridge of Spies" and wound up on top, pulling in $6,965,000, while "Spies" brought in $6,086,000. Of course, once the real numbers come in, these two could flip flop depending on Sunday's final totals. Overall, the top 5 was about what we expected! Upward and onward!
