"Deadpool" continues its #1 reign, "Gods of Egypt" flops
Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your
weekend box office results!
"Deadpool" managed to remain #1 for a 3rd weekend in a row, pulling in $31,500,000, bringing its 3 week domestic total gross to $285 million. Coming in second place this weekend was the first flop of 2016,
"Gods of Egypt," which had a budget of $140 million and only made $14,000,000 opening weekend. OUCH. In third was
"Kung Fu Panda 3," still the only true kids movie out right now, which made $9,000,000, bringing its domestic gross to $128.4 million. It was another top 5 weekend for Christian film
"Risen," which came in 4th place to the tune of $7,000,000. Finally, the newly released inspirational feel-good sports film
"Eddie the Eagle," which is reeeeally good, came in at the bottom of the top 5, making $6,300,000.
