February has come and gone in a relatively uneventful movie month. The Oscars have passed and have awarded last year's top honors, and now, we are looking forward to "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" at the end of March!
We are here to share with you our picks for the best and worst theater movie from February 2016! This helps us recap what we really liked and what we absolutely hated every month, and it will also let you know what film is worth spending your money on and what you should avoid entirely.
Here are our picks for February!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*February 2016's Best Release*: "Deadpool" - Unapologetically violent, riotously funny, self-referential and self-aware, mocking, and kick ass, "Deadpool" is one of the best R-rated comic book movies out there. Ryan Reynolds poured his heart and soul into this role and it truly paid off. A must-see, just leave your kids at home! Our rating: 8.5/10.
*Fabruary 2016's Worst Release*: "The Choice" - We're getting sick and tired of romantic dramas fueled by and adapted from Nicholas Sparks books. NO MORE!!! They are all the same freakin' movie at this point! "The Choice" is yet another emotionally manipulative, saccharine, horribly obvious and expected rom-dram with horrible writing, predictability up the wazoo, and mostly bad acting. When are these movies going to stop????? Our rating: 3.5/10.
