Disney's "The Jungle Book" swings into the top spot, exceeds expectations

Disney has been on a roll when it comes to its live action remakes of their animated classics. This weekend, Jon Favreau's "The Jungle Book" claimed the number one spot by making a whopping $103,567,000. In a distant second place was the fourth film in the "Barbershop" series, "Barbershop: The Next Cut," which pulled in $20,210,000. Coming in third this weekend was Melissa McCarthy's latest comedy "The Boss," which dropped 57%, making $10,170,000. "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" fell another 61% this weekend, dropping to 4th place by pulling in $9,010,000. Don't say we didn't warn you, we knew it would be front-loaded. Finally, rounding out the top 5 was another Disney film in "Zootopia," which made an impressive $8,235,000.
