Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your weekend box office results!
"The Jungle Book" continued its winning streak this weekend, coming in first place for the third weekend in a row to the tune of $38,000,000. So far, it has made $252,056,800 domestically and $684.7 million worldwide in just 17 days, quite impressive! In second place was "The Huntsman: Winter's War," which has proven to be a bit of a stinker domestically though it has brought in the big bucks internationally. It made $9,393,065 in its second weekend out. In third this weekend was "Keanu," the first film by comedy duo Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, which came dangerously close to second place by making $9,350,000 in its opening weekend. Garry Marshall's awful looking "Mother's Day" came in fourth place in its opening weekend, making a mere $8,302,319. Finally, rounding out the top 5 was "Barbershop: The Next Cut," which made $6,130,000, for a domestic total gross of $44.7 million. Next weekend, everything at the box office will be demolished in the path of "Captain America: Civil War," so stay tuned for our review of that film this weekend!
