"Captain America: Civil War" maintains the top spot; newcomers "Money Monster" and "The Darkness" both make the top 5

The fabulous "Captain America: Civil War" had another banner week at the box offices. Though it did drop 59.5%, it still came in first place this weekend by making $72,563,000. This brings its domestic total gross to $295,892,078 in just 2 short weeks. Coming in a distance second place was "The Jungle Book,", the popular Disney live action feature, which added another $17,764,000 to its $311,760,110 domestic total. In third place came newcomer "Money Monster," the George Clooney and Julia Roberts-led thriller directed by Jodie Foster. It made $15,000,000 in its opening weekend. In fourth place this weekend was another newcomer called "The Darkness," the horror thriller starring Kevin Bacon, which made $5,180,000. Finally, "Mother's Day" dropped over 70% to round out the top 5 by making $3,259,205.
