Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your weekend box office results!
The dramatic true life story about Chesley Sullenberger's 'Miracle on the Hudson,' aka "Sully," has claimed the #1 spot, dethroning the horror hit "Don't Breathe" by making an impressive $35,505,000 in its opening weekend. The second of four newcomers this weekend, "When the Bough Breaks," made a cool $15,000,000 in its debut weekend. "Don't Breathe" dropped to the #3 spot by making $8,210,000. Its domestic total gross sits at $66.8 million. "Suicide Squad" placed in 4th this weekend, adding another $5,650,000 to its whopping $307+ million total domestic run. Finally, newcomer "The Wild Life," the boring, dull, uneventful animated adaptation of Robinson Crusoe, pulled in a meager $3,400,000 despite wiggling into the top 5. This could flip with "Kubo and the Two Strings," which is a mere couple hundred thousand dollars away from the #5 spot this weekend.
