Hey, movie lovers! Hope you had a great weekend! Here are your weekend box office results!
The Ben Affleck-led, Gavin O'Connor directed spy crime thriller drama "The Accountant" claimed the #1 spot at the box offices in a rather tepid weekend. It pulled in $24,715,000. Kevin Hart's stand up movie called "Kevin Hart: What Now?" came in second place, making $11,984,245, which is a razor thin victory over the #3 film, "The Girl on the Train," which made $11,974,915 in its second weekend out. These numbers could flip come tomorrow's weekend actuals. In fourth place was "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," which added an extra $8,900,000 to its three-week $46.5 million domestic total gross. Rounding out the top 5 this weekend was "Deepwater Horizon," which made another $6,350,000. Its domestic total gross sits at around $49,335,332.
Next weekend sees the release of 3 different sequels in "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," "Ouija: Origins of Evil," and "BOO! A Madea Halloween."
