Collage of movie posters for Lolo Loves Films list of the most anticipate movies of September, October, and November 2019
We love Fall so, so much! We love the changing weather, falling autumnal leaves (everywhere but San Diego!), pumpkin spice everything, Halloween frights, Thanksgiving turkey, and most importantly, some of the best movies the year has to offer!

Today, we're here to share a list of our most anticipated movies being released this Fall! What movies are you looking forward to seeing this September, October, and November 2019? Let us know!

1) "It: Chapter Two" (release date: September 6, 2019)
We loved Andy Muschietti's "It: Chapter One." In fact, we're fond of many of Stephen King's book-to-film adaptations. "It: Chapter Two" is not just one of our most anticipated films of the fall, it's one of our most anticipated movies of the year.
Ad Astra (2019) movie poster starring Brad Pitt

2) "Ad Astra" (release date: September 20, 2019)
A new space movie starring Brad Pitt, Ruth Negga, and Donald Sutherland?! Hell yes! That's all we needed to know.

3) "Downton Abbey" (release date: September 20, 2019)
I loved the "Downton Abbey" TV series and have been looking forward to seeing a film featuring some of my favorite characters turn up on the silver screen for years. BigJ, on the other hand, will be going into this movie having never seen an episode of the show. Either way, we have a feeling this is going to be a good one full of spectacular acting, snarky banter, and lots of drama.
Movie poster for DC's Joker 2019 directed by Todd Phillips, starring Joaquin Phoenix

4) "Joker" (release date: October 1, 2019)
This is another one of our most anticipated films of 2019. Director Todd Phillips's R-rated, more-grounded, non-DCEU-related take on the origin of one of DC's most famous villains looks marvelous, and we can't wait for it!
Movie poster for the 2019 film Lucy in the Sky, starring Natalie Portman

5) "Lucy in the Sky" (release date: October 1, 2019)
Natalie Portman will play a woman who goes to space, only to return home and find her life too small for her now. This sci-fi drama is sure to impress based on the trailer!
Movie poster for Bong Joon Ho's 2019 Palme d'Or winner from South Korea, Parasite

6) "Parasite" (release date: October 11, 2019)
Bong Joon Ho is one of our favorite South Korean filmmakers. We loved "The Host," "Snowpiercer," and "Okja," and hopefully, "Parasite" will be another title to add to his stellar repertoire. SO HYPED!
Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit movie poster

7) "Jojo Rabbit" (release date: October 18, 2019)
We have loved all of Taika Waititi's films thus far, and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" was our favorite movie of 2016. His "anti-hate satire" "Jojo Rabbit" has a stacked cast, an intriguing premise, and what is sure to be Waititi's signature wit and direction, so what could go wrong?
Movie poster for the A24 horror film The Lighthouse (2019), starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson

8) "The Lighthouse" (release date: October 18, 2019)
It has been four years since Robert Egger's directorial debut "The Witch," which was an excellent movie. "The Lighthouse" has a lot of buzz behind it, and knowing that A24 rarely disappoints, this dramatic black-and-white horror should be a killer good time at the cinema.
Zombieland 2: Double Tap 2019 movie poster starring Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin

9) "Zombieland 2: Double Tap" (release date: October 18, 2019)
The original "Zombieland" rules, and though a decade has passed since its release, we're still looking forward to catching up with this group of characters to see what they do next in "Double Tap." Hopefully, their horror-comedy vibe will not have gotten lost over the years.
2019 movie poster about the Harriet Tubman biopic "Harriet"

10) "Harriet" (release date: November 1, 2019)
Cynthia Erivo is a relatively new actress, but she has been terrific in the few films she's been in. Hopefully, her role as Harriet Tubman will make her a household name. The trailer for "Harriet" gives us all kinds of chills.
Stephen King's Doctor Sleep 2019 movie poster that says REDRUM

11) "Doctor Sleep" (release date: November 8, 2019)
Another book-to-movie adaptation sprung from the mind of horror master Stephen King. Though we aren't familiar with the novel, we're really looking forward to this follow-up to "The Shining" starring Ewan McGregor!
The Good Liar movie poster starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen

12) "The Good Liar" (release date: November 15, 2019)
We caught the trailer for "The Good Liar" the other day and color us intrigued! It stars the acting talents of Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, and you know we're always down to see them on the big screen!
Tom Hanks stars as Mr. Fred Rogers in a movie still for the 2019 biopic film A Beautiful Day in the Neughborhood

13) "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" (release date: November 22, 2019)
We were crushed when the documentary "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" was snubbed for Best Documentary at the Oscars last year. We hope this biopic starring none other than Tom Hanks will bring the pure goodness of Mr. Rogers the recognition it deserves.
Movie poster for Martin Scorsese's 2019 Netflix film The Irishman, starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino

14) "The Irishman" (release date: November 27, 2019)
Sure, "The Irishman" is only getting a limited theatrical release, but screw it, it's a BRAND NEW MARTIN SCORSESE GANGSTER MOVIE, of course we're going to include it on our list! We're trying to stay away from details about this one, but needless to say, we're excited as hell. We know what we're doing Thanksgiving weekend!
Rian Johnson's Knives Out (2019) movie poster

15) "Knives Out" (release date: November 27, 2019)
Director Rian Johnson elevated Star Wars to levels of originality not seen since "The Empire Strikes Back" with his film "The Last Jedi." Now, he heads back to his roots for a new mystery movie that combines a comedic edge with a stellar stacked cast. We couldn't be more excited about this one!
