Running Time: 1 hour, 34 minutes

Seymour Krelborn (Rick Moranis) works at a failing flower shop called Mushnik's, located on Skid Row. He also lives in the basement of the shop. He discovers a new plant species and names it after his coworker Audrey (Ellen Greene), who he is madly in love with. This strange plant brings large anounts of business into the flower shop and give Seymour lots of notariety and fame. It turns out that his plant, Audrey II (Levi Stubbs), feeds on blood...lots of blood. Later, Audrey II develops a taste for humans. Seymour must find ways to keep feeding his discovery or lose all the good things that Aundrey II has brought him.

This musical comedy is one of our favorite movies. It's fantastic and funny and wonderful and HAS RICK MORANIS (my first true love)!!!!!!!!! So many of the songs in the movie are amazing, which is atypical of a lot of musicals, especially those with original songs. It has TONS of hilarious cameos, from Steve Martin as the sadistic dentist to Bill Murray as the masochistic dental patient, from John Candy as a radio DJ, to Christopher Guest as a flower shop customer...the list goes on and on! Ellen Greene was the only person in the cast of this movie who was part of the stage production of "Little Shop of Horrors," but she is a necessary and huge component in the movie's success. She is brilliant! Jim Henson's creature shop made Audrey II for this movie and it is an fantabulous puppet. It's very realistic and holds up even 27 years later!

This movie is an all around good time filled with camp, cheese, hilarity, music, and creativity. We could watch this movie over and over and over again and never get sick of it! It makes us smile every time we watch it and just writing this review, we have huge grins on our faces! LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

My Rating: 10/10
